We have teamed up with some great community partners to transform two gardens during April and offer these events, please come join us!
1) Grand County Middle School Pollinator Garden Open House
When: Friday 4/21 - 5 to 7pm
Where: At the Grand County Middle School's central courtyard, 439 S 100 E, Moab
The 8th Grade Environmental Science class has designed and installed an educational pollinator garden at their school's central courtyard and would like to show the community what they've done. Come to the middle school and learn about their project, see the new garden and enjoy light refreshments. This project is a collaboration with the Middle School, the Bee Inspired Gardens Initiative, and USU Extension Sustainability
When: Earth Day - Saturday 4/22 - 9 to Noon
Where: Moab Regional Hospital, 450 Williams Way, near the front entrance
Do you want to give back to your community on Earth Day? Join Grand County Hospice, Bee Inspired Gardens, and Canyonlands Watershed Council and spend some time outside to honor patients of Grand County Hospice. Not only will the garden become a beautiful space, but it will also feature responsible irrigation systems and diverse pollinator attracting and native plant species. This is a perfect way to spend a beautiful spring Saturday morning! Refreshments and all necessary equipment will be provided.
3) Moonflower 5% Day – Tuesday May 9th.
Shop at Moonflower and support the Canyonlands Watershed Council’s on-going work to protect and enhance the health of our watersheds. This year we are leading several Urban Greening projects with community education opportunities and working on public planning and policy to build resiliency in our watershed and community.
